LEI DAY IN HAWAI'I NEI

MAY 1st is serious to Hawaii. Its the day to honor our culture by creating a unique & creative piece of flower art. By weaving together natives, ferns, plumeria, and all kinds of flora, this day was made to exhibit your best lei making skills.

We started our day picking flowers at grandmas upcountry home, then headed to the sea to get our toes sandy & jump in the calm blue waters. My girls & I have been in the rainforests for days, so yesterday was a great day to 'chillax' at the beach with a needle & biodegradable thread.

After a few pictures, and three or four times in & out of the water, we left our lei as an offering and headed to town to do some errands. Here's a few pics from our Lei Day 2017.
